A few reminders for you about this new Care and Connection model.
1. Each district will have one Global Deployed missionary family per year. In addition, districts care and connect with missionaries sent FROM the district and missionaries that retire TO the district. These additional connections may remain the same year after year.
2. Missionaries and people from the local district are invited to pray for each other, connect through email, and share updates. One way to connect is to invite our missionaries to speak in our churches so everyone can hear the stories and get to know them better.
3. While Globally Assigned missionaries are connected with our district for a calendar year, in 2025, we were privileged to have both the 2024 and 2025 missionaries on our district in church tours. We will update to the 2026 assignment at District Advance.
4. All financial gifts should be processed through the missionary deputation accounts. Deputation gifts are meant to be used for their ministry and personal needs such as education expenses, health care, and retirement. If you would like to give a personal gift to be used for other purposes those will need to be facilitated between the missionary and the individual/church. All US tax laws need to be followed and are the responsibility of the giver.
